DuPage County voters call for mosquito abatement consolidation

Voters in six DuPage County townships came out in favor of consolidating mosquito abatement contracts from about 40 in the county to nine, each handled at the township level. The nonbinding question in Addison, Bloomingdale, Downers Grove, Lisle, Winfield and York townships asked whether voters want the county's 40 mosquito abatement contracts to be consolidated into nine -- one handled by each township.
